Gradient weaves can give some very interesting effects using nothing more than the Composite operator. All comps were done 0x0 Northwest using the Image Magick on the TandemTables server, 6.3.


For this weave I used a black transparent one 400x400 and a statue ping.

TIPS::To size the weavals it is better to crop, to retain the weave size; although I'm sure interesting effects can be achieved by resizing them.
Images that are very dark do not do well, pick something on the lighter side.

  • Go to IM
  • Put the URL of the Image in the slot and click View.
  • Scroll up and click Composite
  • In the slot put the URL of the weave.
  • Leave the 0x0 parameters, and choose Northwest as the gravity.
  • Scroll down and click the drop-down that says Over....and then choose Over.
  • Click Composite
  • Scroll up and click Composite tab
  • In the slot put the URL of your Statue.
    Use parameters to put your statue where you want.
  • Scroll down and click the drop-down that says Over....and then choose DesOut.
  • Click on Composite
  • Scroll up and click Composite
  • In the slot put the URL of your Statue.
  • Parameters here should be 15 more x and 10 less y than you used above.
  • Scroll down and click the drop-down that says Over....and then choose Overlay.
  • Click Composite
  • Scroll up and click Composite tab.
  • In the slot put the URL of your Image.
  • Scroll down and click the drop-down that says Over....and then choose Overlay.
  • Scroll up and click Composite
  • Draw, Decorate, or Annotate as you like.
